Edit Products

After a Product is created, it can be edited by checking out the Product file. There are only two tasks that can be performed in the Product Editor. The Product name can be changed and available plans can be added to the Product.

Product Name

The Product name may not be the same name within a company, but the name may be the same across primary and subsidiary companies. To change or edit a Product name, click inside the Product Name field and type the new name information. This will be saved when the Product.xml file is checked-in.

Moving Child Plans

Existing child plans cannot be removed from a Product in the Product Editor. To move a child plan to a different Product, open the new Product and move the plan from Available Plans to Child Plans. This will remove the plan from the existing Product and add it to the new Product.

Only one Product can be open at a time.

Steps to Move a Plan from One Product to Another

1. From Main Explorer, open the Company folder and any sub-company folders to reveal the Products folder.

2. Open the Products folder to reveal the existing Products.
3. Double-click the Product name to reveal the Product.xml file. Right-click and select Check-out.
4. Move any available plans to the child plans box using the right arrow buttons.

5. Select Finish after the plans have been moved. The plan will automatically be removed from the previous Product and will now only be associated with the new Product.
